Wine Wisdom and Quiet Restoration at Ellerman House

Ellerman House in Cape Town offers a wine and wellness experience grounded in place and shaped by expertise. The 10,000-bottle cellar highlights the depth of South African winemaking, with many bottles aged to optimal maturity before appearing on the list. Guests can explore vertical vintages, sample rare wines by the glass through preservation systems like Coravin and Le Verre de Vin, and learn about the country’s 360-year wine history through an interactive wine library built into the temperature-controlled Wine Gallery. Within this gallery, Ellerman House recently launched Curate, a new fine dining concept offering a multi-course seasonal tasting menu four nights a week. Each course is paired with wines from the cellar, with guidance from in-house wine stewards who help bring South African terroir and winemaking culture into every glass.

The spa at Ellerman House reflects the same level of precision and personalization. Treatments are built around the QMS Medicosmetics system developed by Dr. Med. Eric Schulte and include signature facials that use pure oxygen to promote circulation, stimulate collagen production, and restore skin vitality. The spa also offers non-invasive therapies such as Tripollar RF treatments, along with access to a Polar Plunge Room, steam room, and sauna. Guests can book the Sleep Ritual, a guided experience using Cape-grown botanicals, Stillness Body Butter, and CBD tea to help regulate melatonin and support restful sleep.
