The Singular Hotels was founded in 2011 with the opening of The Singular Patagonia and created as a family initiative with a history of more than 70 years in the hospitality industry in South America. Felipe Sahli, founder of The Singular Hotels, comes from a line of luxury hoteliers as his father and uncles opened The Crillón Hotel in Santiago in 1931. The Sahli family are also among the original pioneers who settled in Chilean Patagonia and built the sheep farming industry there over 100 years ago. Today, Felipe’s family and their expert team offer guests a unique and unparalleled Chilean experience at their two properties rooted in the region’s rich history.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, The Singular Patagonia is located in the converted “Frigorifico Puerto Bories,” a post-Victorian cold-storage plant built in 1915. Nestled on the shores of the Señoret Channel and just five minutes outside of Puerto Natales in Chilean Patagonia, the property embraces its industrial grandeur by incorporating its past into every aspect of the guest experience. The hotel offers a wide range of excursions, from kayaking and cave walking to exploring the city of Puerto Natales and visiting local farms, allowing travelers to dive into the local culture and traditions while also enjoying the great outdoors. Following the success of The Singular Patagonia, The Singular Santiago was added to the collection in October 2014. The property is based in the heart of Santiago in the vibrant historic district of Lastarria, and is known for its neo-classical architectural style, gastronomy and cultural activities.
